RAD Security, a cloud-native threat detection startup, has secured $14 million in Series A funding to advance its mission of securing runtime environments and software supply chains. The funding round, led by Cheyenne Ventures with participation from Forgepoint Capital Management, Lytical Ventures, Akamai Technologies Inc., Vertex Ventures Holdings Pte Ltd., .406 Ventures, and Gula Tech Adventures, marks a significant milestone for the company, which was founded in 2021.
RAD Security’s platform is designed to safeguard hybrid-cloud environments by continuously monitoring Kubernetes clusters in real time. Using behavioral workload fingerprinting, it establishes a baseline of normal cloud activity, allowing it to detect anomalies and mitigate risks with precision. This approach enables the platform to neutralize threats proactively, including zero-day vulnerabilities, by quarantining or eliminating suspicious workloads.
With this investment, RAD Security plans to expand its platform, enhance AI-driven threat detection, and strengthen its presence in key industries such as government, fintech, high-tech, insurance, and e-commerce. The company will also focus on scaling its marketing, sales, and partnerships to ensure its security solutions reach the organizations shaping the digital economy. By adapting to emerging AI-driven threats, RAD Security is not just responding to cybersecurity challenges—it’s driving the future of cloud security.
