Cloud-native threat detection startup RAD Security Inc. has raised $14 million in Series A funding to enhance its platform, expand go-to-market efforts, strengthen partnerships, and advance AI-driven security initiatives.
Founded in 2021, RAD Security focuses on securing runtime environments and software supply chains, with an emphasis on real-time Kubernetes security posture management and identity threat detection and response. The company’s platform monitors hybrid-cloud environments, detecting and mitigating security threats by automatically quarantining or eliminating suspicious workloads.
The funding round was led by Cheyenne Ventures, with participation from new investors Forgepoint Capital Management, Lytical Ventures, and Akamai Technologies Inc., alongside existing backers .406 Ventures, Vertex Ventures Holdings Pte Ltd., and Gula Tech Adventures.
