Our partner Chunk Foods was featured in a new article examining how the company is growing despite broader challenges in the plant-based meat category. While U.S. plant-based meat sales have declined in recent years, Chunk Foods’ CEO Amos Golan argues that the sector’s core issue is not demand, but repeat purchase – with consumers returning only when products deliver on taste, texture, value and trust.
Chunk Foods is approaching $10 million in annual revenue, grew 140% in 2025 and expects to roughly double sales next year while targeting company-wide profitability in the second half of 2027. The company’s whole-cut plant-based products are now available in more than 3,000 U.S. locations, including Whole Foods Market, Sprouts, H-E-B and Giant, alongside a growing foodservice footprint across major distributors. By focusing on frozen, high-protein, clean-label whole cuts produced through solid-state fermentation, Chunk Foods is positioning itself as a differentiated player in a consolidating plant-based category.
