Better Balance Launches Plant-Based Whole Cut with Chunk Foods


Better Balance, in partnership with Chunk Foods, has launched the plant-based whole cut “Better-Nera” in Spain. This follows their earlier announcement of developing co-branded plant-based whole cuts for the Latin American market. The Better-Nera cut is 100% plant-based and utilizes Chunk Foods’ patented solid-state fermentation technology. This innovative product is a pioneer in Spain’s plant-based meat category, according to Better Balance, a subsidiary of the Sigma group.

The product was introduced at the inaugural dinner of Food 4 Future, a prominent FoodTech congress, held at the San Mamés stadium in Bilbao on April 16. The Better-Nera is now available in select leading restaurants in Madrid, including Grillao and Zielou.
