Chunk Foods expands plant-based meat line

Chunk Foods, known for its plant-based products that mimic whole cuts of meat, showcased two new offerings at the National Restaurant Association Show. The plant-based meat maker recently expanded its product line with Chunk Cubes and Chunk Slabs. The company initially introduced a 4-oz steak, a 6-oz steakhouse cut, and a pulled meat product.

Chunk Foods’ products are made from cultured soy and wheat protein, fortified with B12 and iron, and created using solid-state fermentation. The company stated that its slab can be used for briskets and pastrami, smoking, grilling, and carving. The cubes were designed for fast-casual dining restaurants and can be used in salads or as a bowl topping.
