Israeli plant-based meat comes to US retailers

Chunk Foods, an Israeli company specializing in plant-based whole-cut “meat,” is bringing its beef-style slabs, steaks, and pulled beef to the U.S. retail market. The rollout will begin with independent grocers in Los Angeles and New York City, with potential expansion to additional regions in 2025.

Chunk’s beef alternatives are rich in iron, protein, and vitamin B12, featuring a clean ingredient list of just eight natural, recognizable components, free of gums, stabilizers, or preservatives.

Established in 2020, Chunk Foods has already gained a foothold in the U.S. through restaurants in cities like New York, Philadelphia, Orlando, and Miami Beach. The company earned recognition as the 2023 AgTech Breakthrough Awards’ Plant-Based Meat Product of the Year.
