Tacos & Chimichangas Filled with Chunk Foods’ Famous Vegan Steak Arrive on Menus at NYC

New York-based vegan whole-cut pioneer Chunk Foods has partnered with the NYC chain Jajaja Mexicana to feature Chunk Steak in tacos and chimichangas at all four Jajaja locations: Lower East Side, West Village, Hudson Yards, and Williamsburg.

Last year, the introduction of Chunk Steak to high-end steakhouse menus was so successful that Charley’s Steak House ordered 100,000 units of Chunk Foods’ plant-based steak, confident in its exceptional quality. “We are reshaping the steakhouse experience and catering to the expanding tastes and preferences of today’s consumers,” said Seth Miller, VP and CEO of the restaurant group Talk of the Town at the time.

Jajaja are rolling out two new menu options: Chunk Steak Birria Tacos and Chimichangas

– Birria Tacos ($22): Three tortillas filled with Chunk Steak birria, coco queso, cilantro, and onion, served with consommé and lime.
– Chimichangas ($22): Crispy tortillas stuffed with Chunk Steak, Spanish rice, black beans, coco queso, pico de gallo, lettuce, and sour cream, served over consommé.
